Help Needed

I need your help on something. I decided to add a splash page to my site so that people could go to one url to get to weddings, portraits and blog. If you have a moment to check this out and let me know if you are having any problems with it, that would be great. I did this on my own so who knows how well it will work. Also, most photographers use images instead of type on these splash pages, so I thought I would try typography for a change. Is it good or should I stick to photos? To thank you for your help, I am offering a $30 Amazon gift card to whomever's name from people who leave comments (chosen at random) that I pick. So even if it works fine leave me a comment with your name and email so you can enter the giveaway. I love winning contests, don't you? Have a great weekend everyone and be sure to comment so that you can get a free book or cd or whatever you fancy.

Hey Bon,
I do like the splash page...I think the type looks nice - don't know if I'm nuts about the B-log one, though. Maybe it's just sad sacks like me who have the standard small monitor, but I have to scrool over to the right to get all the graphics.
Site looks awesome.
One thing you probably already know but when I look "Bonnie Berry Phototgraphy" runs over your first few menu bars...
Lookin' good!
M :)

What I meant to say was that I have to scroll down to see the baby text. I also can scroll way over to the right on my monitor, but it is all white space. It might be nice if it was smaller or higher so it all shows up on smaller screens without scrolling down....am I making sense?

Contest or not I just had to comment!

I LOVE the use of typography over images here. It totally works. It is so classically beautiful.

The Blog and Portraits site work perfectly, they take me right to their pages in the same window.

The only thing that I'm sure you are already aware of is the wedding site takes 2 clicks to get there. It just depends on how many people view the HTML site to make it worth having that extra click. I might also consider removing the Blog button on the wedding splash page because the link to your blog is already on the first page.

Go Bonnie! I'm your biggest fan :)

Bonnie, each of the links work perfectly. I love the typography. You're a great designer! And no, I'm not just saying that to win the gift card. ;)

I love it! It's awesome - no problems at all.

I DO like it! Its better than I had imagined after you told me yesterday. Everything works perfectly. Its easy to get everywhere, and comes up just fine on my HUGE monitor (just teasing Mel) :)

I think the typography looks both cheerful and elegant. I agree with leaving out the middle blog choice on your wedding page if you switch to this. I had no trouble viewing it. If you are concerned (perhaps rightly) that people will expect to see photos, you might consider having photos appear when you mouse over each block of text.

No problems here! Also a fan of the typography but I agree with Mel that something about the B-log typography took a little longer for my brain to process. I love those pics of Sam in the hats!

Worked great for me. Love the LARGE photos!

I agree with Erin on the wedding site. I think the typography is cool, but I think the B-log is a bit wonky although I have no real solutions for it. Looks great. Love the picture that comes up when I click on the baby site! If that picture doesn't get 'em pourin' in, nothing will.

Great job!

The type is an awesome choice. I might have a little more border on each of the image maps around each type button to allow for "fudge" factor or drunk web surfers. I know you get both. :)

Okay. Sorry ladies, but I LIKE B-log. B for Bonnie (or Berry) and for blog. Nifty design I thought, but we've already discussed your different (yet impeccable) eye for design. I like the type as well, the whole thing works. I DO care about the contest (I am a life-long contest loser) and already bookmarked a PDF DVD of X-Men Comics dating all the way back to 1963 (now I'm just a loser).

I love it Bonnie! My only ish is that it's not centered on my big monitor (aligned left on the page). Man the graphics are rad and the colors are so great together! Great job!
